Sony BRC-X1000

The BRC-X1000 is Sony's first 4K remote camera, combining uncompromised broadcast image quality and smooth, quiet PTZ operation with the flexibility of 3G-SDI and HDMI connectivity.

Designed for remote operation, this compact but powerful remote camera is the ideal complement to other broadcast cameras for capturing images in hard-to-reach or inconspicuous locations. It is equally suited to TV newsrooms, remote studios and on-air suites, as well as auditoriums, houses of worship, courtrooms and sports stadiums. It is also particularly suited to efficient multi-camera setups controlled by a single operator.

The 1" Exmor R CMOS image sensor captures detailed 4K footage at 30p with four times the pixel count of Full HD and excellent low-light sensitivity. The large image sensor also allows you to create beautiful bokeh effects with shallow depth of field for any artistic vision.

Fast, silent PTZ operation with 12x optical zoom for wide-angle and close-up shots. Clear Image Zoom (18x at 4K, 24x at HD) extends the range even further with no visible loss of resolution. At HD resolution, the 24x zoom can be doubled to 48x in teleconverter mode. Broadcast-ready features of this model include two tally lamps for live operation, while operational flexibility is enhanced with options for ceiling, table or tripod mounting.

There is also a wide range of video interfaces and remote control options, as well as support for PoE+ and Genlock, enabling seamless integration into any broadcast, professional or business AV environment.

The BRC-X1000/1 and BRC-X1000/WPW are the USA/Canada models that come with the AC-UES1230MT power supply and power cord. In all other regions, the AC adapter and power cord are sold separately.

Improved PTZ operation

The smooth, quiet remote control of the PTZ functions allows you to accurately change sections of the image or track moving objects. There is also a slow zoom and slow pan/tilt mode for precise, smooth camera movements. With the PTZ Trace Memory function, a sequence of camera movements can be stored and recalled as needed. The PTZ Motion Sync feature easily combines separate pan, tilt and zoom movements for seamless, professional-looking transitions. Up to 100 preset positions for pan, tilt and zoom operations.

Uncompromising 4K images

The camera's large, back-illuminated 1" Exmor R CMOS sensor delivers uncompromising broadcast-quality colour images in richly detailed 4K at 30p, four times the resolution of Full HD. Shooting can also be done in Full HD at 60p - ideal for fast-paced sports.

Remote operation

The PTZ function and other camera settings can be controlled via the supplied IR remote control or with the optional RM-IP500 remote control. The latter also allows control of multiple cameras.

Simplified VR/AR System Setup*

Real-time tracking data (pan/tilt/zoom/focus/iris) can be output from the camera via the IP network using the Free-D* protocol. This allows VR/AR systems to be created without an additional tracking system - a simple and cost-effective solution.
