Panasonic Movicom Robyhead D1

The RobyHead D1 is a classic pan/tilt solution for professional broadcasting as well as for stationary use in studios, theatres, conference halls and stadiums.

The head was developed especially for 4K cameras and offers 4x3G SDI-, 12G SDI- and two fiber optic connections for the camera signals. The most common payload for the head is a box camera, but it also offers enough carrying capacity for a studio camera with connections for a prompter at the front. The head has a robust and at the same time elegant carbon housing and convinces with soft, precise movements.
An integrated power supply facilitates the camera connection.

The RobyHead D1 can be controlled via IP or a serial interface, making it easy to integrate into the studio infrastructure or an outside broadcast location and use in external productions.

Integration with Panasonic products

A key feature of the product is the integration with the Panasonic UHD AK-UB300 box camera and the Panasonic AW-RP50 and AW-RP120 control units, in which the RobyHead D1 and the camera form one unit so that all head and image parameters can be controlled via the control units. This combination creates a complete HD/UHD multi-camera system that can be controlled by a single operator (or multiple operators) at a significantly lower cost, as a single control unit controls multiple heads simultaneously. Remote panels from Panasonic within the system allow the image engineer to control the aperture and advanced camera.

Augmented reality support

The RobyHead D1 can be easily integrated into modern AR environments. The head includes high-resolution encoders on each axis and supports both Canon and Fujinon lenses. This enables it to output live tracking data directly to a graphics module via Ethernet, which minimizes the time required for graphics configuration. AR solutions from all leading manufacturers are supported.
