The AW-UE80 has a newly developed and compact housing, weighs only 2.0 kg and thus, in addition to handling, also facilitates installation in various areas, especially for truss or ceiling mounting.
The AW-UE80 provides valuable support for the following areas:
- Documentaries and reality TV
- Rentals and events
- eSports
- Broadcast and mixed reality studio environments
- Parliaments and theaters
- Universities and colleges
- Enterprise installations
Single cable solution
The AW-UE80 supports PoE++, enabling power for the camera, control and also video transmission over a single cable.
Direct Drive System
For quiet and smooth camera movements in both vertical and horizontal directions, the AW-UE80 features a direct drive system based on Panasonic technology, reducing operating noise to NC25 or less. The direct drive also provides other benefits such as faster, precise movements and accuracy of preset positions, making the AW-UE80 Panasonic's fastest, quietest and most accurate PTZ camera to date.
Improved 4K sensor
The AW-UE80 features a new 1/2.5-type 4K MOS sensor for stunning True 4K resolution 1,500 TV lines (UHD) video. 3G-SDI, HDMI and IP support, as well as simultaneous output of multiple video formats, make the camera ideal for existing HD or 4K workflows.
Wide-angle lens
The AW-UE80's new wide-angle lens captures wide areas with a 74.1-degree viewing angle, even when installation space is limited, and the 24x optical zoom ensures high image quality even at extended zoom ranges. This enables shooting in large indoor spaces. In addition, the intelligent zoom achieves 28x and 36x magnification in UHD and Full HD, respectively.
Optical zoom and image stabilization
In addition to optical image stabilization (OIS), the camera also features electronic image stabilization (EIS), ensuring smooth pan-tilt movement in busy environments or when moving or placed on a robotic system.
New Processor
The AW-UE80 features a new high-performance chipset platform, allowing the PTZ camera to respond to higher video processing demands to enable higher quality with low latency.
Analog 4K and HD output
The AW-UE80 supports 4K video up to 50p/60p with 3840 x 2160 output for professional and high-quality moving image capture, as well as a variety of output options including 3G-SDI, HDMI and IP streaming. These can be operated simultaneously on HD and 4K productions.
New IP transmission formats NDI and SRT
The camera features a variety of ready-to-use IP transmission protocols, including NDI*1, NDI|HX version 2 and SRT*2. High-bandwidth NDI transmits full HD video at speeds up to 100 Mbps.
With NDI|HX version 2, the AW-UE80 offers high efficiency even at lower bandwidths and enables video transmissions at low bit rates. In both cases, only a single LAN cable is required.
In addition, Secure Reliable Transport (SRT*2) is supported to ensure stable transmission of high-quality video even in unstable network environments, and to enable secure and reliable video transmission over public Internet thanks to encryption, as well as automatic detection and retransmission of lost packets.
RTMP/RTMPS*4 enables direct streaming from the camera to live streaming services such as YouTube Live and Facebook Live.
FreeD support for VR and AR applications.
Like the AW-UE150 and AW-UE100, the AW-UE80 also has FreeD*5 support for connecting to AR/VR*6 systems. This allows camera tracking information (pan/tilt/zoom/focus/iris) to be output together with a sync signal to enable system setup easily without an encoder.
New Web Interface & Simplified Workflows
A brand new web interface simplifies professional operation of the enhanced user interface (GUI) - even in darker environments.
Panasonic offers an entire ecosystem of solutions so that the new PTZ models can be seamlessly combined with existing camera systems, including use with remote camera controls, PTZ Control Center central control software, and automatic tracking software for presentations and lectures enabled by facial recognition and human body detection.
