Standards and Format Converter for the Up/Down/Cross Conversion of SDI and HDMI 2.0

The Blackmagic Teranex AV is specifically designed with new features for live events and professional AV installations, as well as broadcast and post production workflows. You get 1,089 up, down, cross and standards conversions for all formats up to 2160p60, along with Teranex’s patented algorithms and legendary image quality. Teranex AV offers low latency, and features a still store for adding logos and graphics, a live freeze frame and can generate a reference signal. You get professional 12G-SDI and quad SDI connections which can be used simultaneously, consumer HiFi, XLR audio, HDMI in, loop and outputs, and more. There are even metal brackets at the rear to prevent cables and connections from getting damaged when installed in tight locations.

Use Anywhere

With the ability to convert from virtually any television format to any other television format at the highest quality, Teranex has hundreds of uses in any broadcast and post production facility. Use Teranex for general conversion as well as protecting decks, transmitters/encoders and switchers from video standards they don’t support simply by installing Teranex before the video input. Add Teranex into OB vehicles to synchronize and convert video feeds.

Teranex Quality

Advanced SIMD technology developed and patented by Teranex allows instant calculations on thousands of pixels simultaneously in X, Y positions and between video frames, so you get true super computer imaging power. Processing is applied within the frame and between frames all at the same time, so you get better de-interlacing, inter-frame interpolation and noise reduction. This is why Teranex conversions are indistinguishable from the original master.

Master Control with the Teranex Setup Software

Teranex Setup software gives you remote control of your source and output selection, proc amp, color correction, aspect ratio, audio mapping and more from your Mac or PC computer. The software is elegantly designed, intuitive to use and makes it easy to share a Teranex when different people need to use it. Teranex Setup allows large broadcasters to manage multiple Teranex converters on their network all from a central location.
