The Blackmagic Web Presenter is a complete streaming solution. It is equipped with a professional hardware streaming engine to stream directly to YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and other platforms via Ethernet. Basically, the Web Presenter is a modern broadcast transmitter for a new global streaming audience. On top of that, the built-in USB ports work like a webcam, so you can connect a computer and use any streaming software or even Skype or Zoom. For redundancy, you can either stream to the Internet via Ethernet or connect a 5G or 4G cell phone to use the mobile data. In addition, the Web Presenter has an output for technical monitoring of video, audio meters, trend lines and even SDI technical data.
Live streaming made easy
Blackmagic Web Presenter is a standalone solution with a powerful hardware encoder and matching software to connect to streaming platforms and networks. So there's no need to buy an expensive computer or complicated streaming software. Just plug in an SDI video device like a live production mixer or camera and connect to the Internet via the built-in Ethernet port. Or use the mobile data on a cell phone! Since popular streaming platforms are already pre-set, all you need to do is enter a stream key and go on air. At the same time, you can use the USB webcam output to connect a computer to work with other video software.
Take advantage of mobile data from 5G or 4G phones.
If you're streaming from an off-site location or need a backup for the main Ethernet connection, you can connect an Apple or Android phone to access the Internet via mobile data. To make it even more convenient for you, there is a USB port on the front and back, which can be used for tethering with the cell phone. This is possible with all newer cell phones that support 5G and 4G speeds. The Blackmagic Web Presenter automatically detects a connected cell phone and accesses its Internet connection. However, you can set whether you want to prioritize Ethernet or mobile data. This way, Internet backups via cell phone work fully automatically. The tethering option via cell phone with mobile data makes the Web Presenter the perfect streaming solution at remote locations!
USB webcam output for video softwares
For even better compatibility, the Blackmagic Web Presenter has two USB ports that act as a simple webcam source. Accordingly, it can be connected to all computers and used with any video software. The software reads the Web Presenter as an ordinary webcam, when in fact it is a broadcast-ready SDI video source. This ensures full compatibility with any video software in full 1080 HD resolution quality. For example, you could connect the Web Presenter to a camera and then show your clients the live video from the shoot via Skype or Zoom. The Web Presenter works with all kinds of video software, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Open Broadcaster, XSplit Broadcaster and more.
12G-SDI Supports 720 HD, 1080 HD and Ultra HD
Blackmagic Web Presenter's 12G-SDI inputs support all HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p/60, and a 12G-SDI loop-through output is also provided. To stream to multiple services at once, you can loop video through multiple Web Presenters via it. For incredibly clean video output, the Blackmagic Web Presenter's SDI input features Teranex conversion technology. The Blackmagic Web Presenter automatically converts incoming HD or Ultra HD signals to high-quality 1080p HD at low data rates. For streaming, the video is sent to the H.264 hardware encoder and also to your computer when using the USB webcam output. In concrete terms, this means you can use any HD or Ultra HD sources for streaming.
