4K video with ultra-wide viewing angle of 111 degrees

The AW-UE4 can output 4K video at 30p, and has a horizontal viewing angle of up to 111 degrees in width. This means you can now take fantastic wide-angle pictures, making it a perfect choice for meeting rooms, boardrooms, classrooms and live events. A tally light has been incorporated to help presenters integrate into a live environment.

Pan and Scan functionality

One of the key features of the AW-UE4 is the ability to apply the pan and scan function to the UHD image and crop it to a Full HD recording, allowing you to move around in the picture to some extent even though the camera is static. Up to 100 of these pan and scan moves can then be saved as a preset. This is achieved using a 4x digital zoom.

AW Protocol Support

The AW-UE4 is compatible with the Panasonic AW protocol, which means it can be controlled either over IP with existing Panasonic PTZ controllers or via infrared control*. This allows the AW-UE4 to be used in conjunction with other current Panasonic PTZ cameras, making it the perfect complement to Panasonic PTZ productions that require POV recording.

Audio and format support

The AW-UE4 contains two internal microphones for audio recording. It also supports video formats including 4K, 1080p and 720p recording. Additional IP formats included are Motion JPEG, H.264 over RTSP and H.265 over RTMP, making the camera the ideal solution for streaming live events on platforms such as YouTube.

Solution with only one cable

The AW-UE4 supports single cable operation, where video and audio, control and power can be transmitted over a single CAT5e cable thanks to PoE (Power over Ethernet) support. Power can also be supplied via USB-C, while video and audio can also be output via HDMI. The camera also has a bracket for ceiling mounting. The safety slot on the back of the camera can be connected with the supplied safety cable.

Configuration

The new AW-UE4 can be configured in three different ways for different workflows: via IP, HDMI or USB.

• Configuring the AW-UE4 over IP is very easy. In addition to the camera, only a laptop, a network cable and a PoE hub are required.

For configuration via USB, you need the camera, the supplied USB-C cable and the AW-RM50 remote control (sold separately). Various control options can be used for the HDMI output of the AW-UE4 for 4K or live recording, such as the AW-RP60 control unit, RM50 remote control or a web interface.
